Document Signature Maker
Printed and scanned paperwork looks best with a signature that matches the page: solid black ink on plain white, no gray photo haze around the strokes. This preset takes a photograph of your signature, strips the paper shading, recolors the ink to black, and pads it onto a clean white background.
Leave empty for best quality. Targets force JPG unless transparency is on.

Common uses
- Insert a tidy signature into a Word or Google Docs contract
- Replace a gray, shadowy phone photo of your signature
- Prepare a signature block for documents that will be printed
- Standardize your signature's look across recurring paperwork
Good to know
- Photograph the signature straight-on in even light; raking shadows create gray gradients that are hard to clean up.
- Dark ink on white paper converts most cleanly — the black-ink recolor evens out any blotchiness in the original pen strokes.
- The white background matches document pages exactly, so the inserted image has no visible seam when printed.
- If specks of paper texture remain, raise the tolerance slider a little; if thin strokes vanish, lower it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I put my handwritten signature in a Word document?
Sign white paper with a dark pen, photograph it, and run it through this preset to get clean black ink on white. Then insert the image into the document and resize it to fit the signature line.
Why black ink instead of my original pen color?
Photographed ink is rarely uniform — it picks up highlights and fades. Recoloring to solid black produces the even, printed look most formal documents call for. Use the transparent PNG preset if you want the original color.
Will the white background show as a box on the page?
Not on a white document page — white on white is invisible. If your document has a colored or shaded background, the transparent PNG preset is the better fit.
Can I prepare a signature for someone else this way?
Only with their direct involvement and consent — for example, helping a family member digitize their own signed paper. Creating or using another person's signature without authorization is forgery.
