Transparent Signature PNG Maker
Sign a piece of paper, photograph it, and this tool lifts your signature off the page — removing the paper background so only the ink remains on a transparent PNG. The result drops naturally onto PDFs, contracts, and letterheads without a white box around it.
Leave empty for best quality. Targets force JPG unless transparency is on.

Common uses
- Create a reusable signature image for signing PDFs
- Place your signature on a letterhead or invoice template
- Prepare a signature for e-signing tools that accept image uploads
- Digitize your signature once instead of scanning every document
Good to know
- Photograph the signature in even, indirect light — a shadow across the page is the most common cause of a patchy result.
- Use dark ink on plain white paper; pencil and pale blue ink don't separate cleanly from the background.
- If faint paper texture or shadows survive the extraction, nudge the tolerance slider until only the ink remains.
- Write the signature larger than normal on paper — capturing big and scaling down gives smoother strokes than enlarging a small one.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make my signature background transparent?
Photograph or scan your signature on white paper, load the image here, and the tool removes the paper background, exporting the ink strokes as a transparent PNG. A tolerance slider handles shadows and paper texture.
Why does my extracted signature look broken or spotty?
Usually thin pen strokes or uneven lighting. Rewrite the signature with a bolder pen, photograph it under even light, and raise the tolerance slightly if light strokes are being dropped.
Is a transparent signature image legally binding?
An image of a signature is not the same as a certified electronic signature. Many everyday documents accept it, but legal validity depends on the document type and your jurisdiction — check with the requesting party when it matters.
Is my signature uploaded to a server?
No. The background removal runs entirely in your browser, which matters for something as sensitive as your signature — it never leaves your device.
Can I use this to reproduce someone else's signature?
No — this tool is for digitizing your own signature. Reproducing another person's signature without authorization is forgery.
